Description
81′ FRAMED TRESTLE
Scale: N
Length 6-3/16″ Width 1-11/16″ Height 2-1/8″
This structure is a must for any layout that has a change in elevation. The design was used all over Canada and the United States, especially in British Columbia and Ontario. Many are still in existence and some are built today for temporary short lines. Kit materials are strip basswood, white pine ties (N scale ties are basswood), and Nut/Bolt/Washer castings. The enclosed step-by-step instructions and full-size templates make completion of this complicated-looking structure easy. They also explain how to assemble it on a slight curve, if desired. Give it a try! You will be amazed at your own workmanship. Length – 81 scale feet, height – 28 scale feet to bottom of rails. The ‘S’ scale model looks excellent for On30.
The Framed Trestle uses square posts that sit on a wooden sill, which sits on a foundation of rock or concrete.
