The Liner was used to shore back the walls and ceiling of a tunnel. Cave-ins were extremely dangerous as well as very costly in mainline down time, thus a Liner was very cost effective. The prototype for this model is the CPR Spiral Tunnels in British Columbia. The structure can be built in various configurations depending on your own layout design. All materials are strip basswood.
